Industrial Steampunk Vow Renewal

Feast your eyes on two grooms in love and their amazing vow renewal photoshoot at Dick Brother’s Brewery in Quincy Illinois.
Married two years ago, Kyle and Blake were the perfect couple to celebrate a vow renewal. Why? Well tragically ALL their wedding photos were lost/accidentally deleted and this amazing team of wedding vendors wanted to  give them an amazing re-do with an industrial steampunk vow renewal shoot.

Feast your eyes on some amazing photos, décor and just the overall WOW of the day! Oh yeah the 2 grooms are pretty fabulous also, don’t ya think! Talk about getting some photos that are da bomb!

Amy Deters Events did an AMAZING job of decorating and sourcing all the décor for this shoot. All of the gears used in the decor were old, used tractor gears or truck transmission gears. The huge “wheel” used for part of the ceremony backdrop is one big rake wheel off of tractor hay rake implement! The “gear curtain” is make up of truck transmission gears and wire. The chargers on the table are used tractor discs as well as the dome disc that the cake plate is sitting on. It’s like farm tools gone city chic!

Odd Lot Paperie was so very excited to be asked to design the Steampunk styled stationery. Creating a custom bespoke wedding invitation and rsvp card, I knew and was excited to rock this out of the park! Starting with linen paper and adding by hand every gold leafing element around the edges. A pop of color was brought in with red in the calligraphy.

Gold envelopes were my choice to make a great first impression, but my favorite element that was brought to the invitations were the belly band. Made of gold leaf paper that was slightly texturized to give a distressed look. The belly band held the invite and rsvp together and is the first thing you see when taking the stationery out of the outer envelope.

Wanting to wow guests, I added actual gears and cogs to the belly band with metal wiring, creating a stunning effect that enhanced the mood of the wedding shoot.

A truly unique wedding invitation set that captured everything about the day.
