The Roaring 20’s Styled Wedding Shoot
I started off 2019 with a roar! Excited? We are!
Not only have I attended some great bridal expos and met some amazing brides, but I got to participate in an amazing styled shoot coordinated by Amy Deters Events. We were even publicized in QAB Magazine and the magazine spread is amazing!
The show stopping glitz and glamour Roaring 20s wedding inspiration was thought up and directed by Amy Deters, a local wedding planner here in Quincy, Illinois. Working with her was an amazing experience and I had the honor of meeting and collaborating with so many talented local wedding professionals. I truly believe that all the glamour and romance of the era was captured and brought to life! Look for all those extra special details and unique twists in the photos.
From the brides pin curled hair and her amazing lace up boots, to the period inspired bling headpiece she wore – every detail was perfection. The dapper groom complimented her to a T.
Pearls, lace and glitzy gold could be found throughout this styled wedding shoot. My favorite detail was the brides wedding dress, especially the back! It was a perfect addition to the theme with a dropped waistline and a peekaboo open back with pearl straps! Va Voom! Her cascading bouquets of white roses and orchids was set off wonderfully by modern accents of eucalyptus.
Upon entering the set, you could feel the ambiance of the era. We were transported to the 1920s with a new modern feel but all the glamour and glitz from the era. Imagine showcasing your dress and handsome groom around an ivory chaise lounge with gold drinking cart, large mouth rimmed glasses, cascading bouquets and romantic details that set the mood. You could feel the excitement In the air.

As the Stationery Designer everything about this styled shoot excited the heck out of me! Acrylic has been very popular this past year in the wedding industry and this was the perfect way to showcase the beauty in them!
I used laser cut acrylic with gold backing for the wedding invitation. I wanted something unique and decided what a better way to present a luxurious wedding invitation than to glam up the edging and do a custom cut for the shape. Accenting the acrylic invitation with periwinkle laser cut lace edging that the invite slipped into really took it over the top and made it that much more special for this styled shoot.
Not wanting to stop there, I decided to coordinate the bride and grooms table name cards in acrylic as well and use a geometric shape for those. I am obsessed with the way the light shines through them! Here at Odd Lot Paperie we are obsessed with custom design and creating stationery for any theme or occasion.

If you are local to the area and are looking for some amazing vendors to help create the wedding of your dreams. I highly recommend you checkout the ones listed in this blog post and see if they are right for your wedding.
As always, odd Lot Paperie not only works with local bride and grooms, but we service the whole United States and other countries as well! It’s as easy as an email conversation or skype face to face.
Cheers!
